Hi there! I'm so glad you are here. A little bit about myself...

I live in Monroe, Ohio with my husband and 5 kids. I love being a mom and watching the tiny humans I created grow into each of their own, unique personalities. I enjoy playing cards games, doing puzzles, dancing and I will never turn down chips & queso!
Throughout my years of growing babies, giving birth and navigating early motherhood, I uncovered a deep passion for birth-work and supporting others throughout the perinatal period. I became a Certified Birth Doula in early 2023 and started my solo doula business under the name Katie Marie Doula Services. The years of 2023 & 2024 were filled with rapid growth, both in my continued education and business. In 2024, I gained my title as a Certified Body Ready Method ® Pro, will be finishing my dual certification as a CAPPA Certified Labor Doula, hired a partner and launched Suburban Family Doulas. I remain dedicated to furthering my growth and education in birth work in order to provide the best, unwavering support to mothers & families as they navigate the incredible journey of childbirth.

Our Philosophy on Birth
Our philosophy of birth acknowledges that every individual's journey through pregnancy and childbirth is unique, and thus, there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We recognize the importance of providing compassionate, personalized care that honors the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of birthing individuals and their families.

Central to this philosophy is our belief in the innate strength and wisdom of the birthing person's body. We emphasize the importance of trusting in the body's ability to give birth and advocating for interventions only when necessary, prioritizing the well-being and autonomy of the birthing individual.
